Procedure
The Basics has streamlined the process of developing your website. The following steps will summarize our process from start to finish.
Step 1
Choose a package from The Basics website. We have designed a variety of packages for different needs. Click 'checkout' on the shopping cart when you are finished creating your package to complete your order.
A 50% deposit is collected after a team member has reviewed your order and confirms that it can be completed with the provided amount. You will not have to pay anything right now.
If you are unsure about what package to choose, you can always fill out our free quote form.
Step 2
The Basics will review your order and send you an email regarding a timeframe and payment options. You may be asked a series of questions about your site if it was unclear during the checkout process. After the questions are answered and the deposit has been made, The Basics will start on the rough draft of your site.
Step 3
The Basics will complete a functional rough draft of your site usually within a few days (more complicated sites may take more). We will host your site on our testing servers during the development stage. During this time you will be able to review your site at the provided URL address.
Step 4
You can make an unlimited amount of revisions to your site during the development stage. After we have finished the rough draft, you will be asked to critique the site and let us know what you like/dislike. We will make the revisions as you ask for them.
Step 5
Step 4 is repeated until you are satisfied with your site. Once you are, we optimize your site for the internet and run one last test to make sure everything works.
Step 6
We put your site onto your actual server. If you are hosting with us, we will automatically put it on your server and set it up for you. If you are hosting with someone else, we can set it up for you (no charge) or we can give the files to you, so you can put them on. Your final payment is made.
